Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shunter Driver to join our dynamic team in Westerleigh, Bristol.

Job Title: Shunter Driver

Working Hours: 13:30pm to 22:00 pm - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

Conducting daily tug/trailers inspections, immediately reporting any defects and/or damage to the supervisor/manager, and completing associated documentation in line with the company policy
Check if tug/trailers are correctly fuelled and fuel when required.
Check trailers temperatures.
Liaising with the despatch, yard, dolav wash, and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading/unloading of trailers.
Observing and adhering to company rules, site procedures, and all aspects of Health & Safety and Hygiene at all times
Assist with Forklift operator duties (loading/unloading Dolavs and Pallets from/to the trailers) when shunting is not required.

You Will Need To

have previous Shunting experience is ideal but not essential as full training is available to the right candidates.
be able to work efficiently within a fast-paced and pressured environment

have the ability to communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues.

be able to complete documentation accurately and on time.

have a high level of Health and Safety Awareness.

have Forklift Truck Licence Beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
