An opportunity has arisen for a Simulator Software Developer to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About The Role

The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain our DIL simulator infrastructure & supporting systems to deliver the most realistic simulator environment.

What you will do


  • Write software to replicate the real car environment virtually. This will involve, but not limited to, developing the vehicle model & subsystems, the setup interface, the data offload.
  • Build and maintain in-house software applications to assist with data management, metrics, race management, energy management, and strategy.
  • Understand and optimise how to use real-time operating systems.
  • Maintain and develop the back-end IT infrastructure.
  • Work with hardware and software suppliers to integrate their systems into ours.
  • Attend DIL sessions with diagnostics support.
  • You will also be involved in the development of graphical display systems and motion cueing algorithms.


About You


  • Strong degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a relevant engineering subject, minimum Masters level.
  • Proficient with programming and analysis languages e.g. Matlab, Python, JavaScript, C, C++, C#.
  • Previous experience with bespoke and commercial Simulators would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Atlas, System Monitor, Simulink & dSPACE an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Tyres, Vehicle Dynamics, Aerodynamics, and Performance Control Systems an advantage.
