JOB DESCRIPTION
CMDP+ is looking for a Site Engineer to join our Southern Water Framework. MWH Treatment and Costain Group are part of the CMDP+ joint venture that will deliver a range of construction schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works within the South and Southeast regions.
The Joint Venture has been set up specifically to execute the 5-year (2025 – 2030) AMP8 capital delivery framework. We will be delivering a programme of works up to £1bn over the 5-year period consisting of both heavy civil engineering and mechanical and electrical activities.
Working as part of the site management team, you'll be expected to liaise with other members of the construction support team including; engineers, planners, subcontractors, supervisors and surveyors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Implementation and ensuring compliance to Safe systems of work in line with SHE Procedures
- Carrying out site inductions
- Contributing to site collaborative planning and supporting the site agent in development of the project look-ahead programme, identifying change and risks
- Support the promotion of SHE initiatives and actively promote the recording of hazards and observations
- Identifying material requirements in line with the programme, highlighting requirements in a timely manner
- Support the Site Agent in the identification of blockers/issues and ensure that solutions are developed to resolve, escalating promptly where out of your area of control or influence 100% SHEQ compliance with the Framework HASEMP, and compliance with the Framework Management plan
Essential
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- H NC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Understanding of Engineering Principles
Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practicesRelevant CSCS Card
Desirable
- Experience in working on a similar project
Essential
QUALIFICATIONS
- SMSTS
- Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
Desirable
- Appointed Person, lifting training is an advantage
