Description
  • Site based in Basildon Monday to Friday
  • Overtime available
  • No call out

Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit a Handyperson/Fabric Engineer to join their client's government facility in Basildon.

The site is an office, call centre plus a job centre facility.

As the site's lone engineer you will be working to a Planned Preventative Maintenance regimen, while also completing reactive repairs of a Building Fabric bias.

The role will work across minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, changing light fittings, tap temperature checks, escorting sub contracts etc

With full IT and tools provided you will be the site's engineering custodian, ensuring basic repairs are completed while overseeing skilled electrical and or mechanical work completed by visiting engineers

There is also overtime and training available

This is a fantastic role for a confident Handyperson/Fabric Engineer looking to take ownership of their own site.

Actions will include:

  • Responsibility for fabric related PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance to include exterior works, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry related tasks.
  • External ground works maintenance duties.
  • To provide callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
  • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
  • Issue of Permits to Work.
  • Ensure that all equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria.
  • Ensure equipment and surrounding area conforms to agreed company standards.

We need from you:

  • Building Fabric Maintenance experience
