Description

We are looking for an Site Manager to join our successful team in Manchester, you will be travelling and covering the North West Region.

As an Site Manager you will manage all on-site activities safely to ensure programme, cost and quality objectives are achieved, acting as the primary point of contact for employees, contractors and stakeholders on site.

Role Details:
• Annual Salary - £42,000- £50,000
• Annual on target bonus of 5%, maximum opportunity up to 10%
• Role based: Manchester Office – Travelling covering the North West Region (Hybrid) – You must have a full driving license and the flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight at locations
• Contract type: Permanent
• Company Car
• Eligible for Private Medical Scheme
• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.

In this role you will be required to:

• Support the project team with site set-up and ensure the site is secure and safe for works.
• Create and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all activities comply with legislation, regulations, RAMS, company standards and procedures.
• Manage site activities in line with the project programme, coordinating with internal teams, contractors and subcontractors to ensure effective delivery.
• Document site activities in accordance with the Site Operations Manual.
• Monitor and manage site resources, escalating issues that may impact programme, cost or quality to the Project Manager or Controller.
• Manage and review the Construction Phase Plan and Fire Risk Assessment to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Attend project progress meetings, providing updates on site performance and issues.
• Demobilise sites in a controlled and safe manner, minimising costs and ensuring efficient close-out.
• Control and monitor the use of subcontractors and resources to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Appropriate CSCS card.
• SMSTS – Site Management Safety Training Scheme (or equivalent) qualification.
• First aid at work certificate.
• Experience of supervising site activities to deliver safe, compliant and efficient outcomes.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, site practices and technical standards.
• Experience of coordinating contractors and subcontractors to complete work to programme, cost and quality requirements.
• Understanding of health, safety and compliance obligations on site, with experience of applying RAMS and company procedures.
• Strong communication skills, able to act as the primary on-site contact for employees, contractors and stakeholders.
