The Role:

As a Site Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of industrial engineering projects at the Arla Taw Valley facility. You will be responsible for overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the successful execution of mechanical, electrical, and civil works.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The main duties and responsibilities of the Site Engineer are outlined as follows:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide construction and installation.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate site records including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Support commissioning and handover processes in collaboration with the client and project team.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues on-site, escalating where necessary.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with vendors and supply chain to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
  • Attend Meetings, take and Issue minutes and records and Liaise with the client as required.
  • Familiarise and maintain the IMS relevant to the site works.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the Electrical Site Engineer are outlined as follows:

    • Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in site engineering, preferably in industrial or process environments.
    • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and health & safety regulations.
    • Proficient in using AutoCAD, MS Project, and other relevant software.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • CSCS card and relevant safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid) are desirable.
