Site Manager – Fast Track Commercial Fit Out

The Opportunity
Weston College Group is delivering a fast-track commercial fit out within the secure Airbus Filton site as part of the development of a new Aerospace Skills Academy.
Acting as Principal Contractor, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full day-to-day control of this 24-week project.
This is a hands-on, delivery-critical role. You will be responsible for driving programme, managing subcontractors and ensuring the highest standards of health & safety and quality across a high-specification Cat B fit out.
This is not a supervisory oversight role - this is an on-site leadership position requiring decisive action and strong coordination under time pressure.
Why This Role Matters
This project underpins the delivery of a flagship technical education facility within one of the UK’s leading aerospace clusters. Programme delivery is critical, and this appointment will play a key role in ensuring successful handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily programme delivery and maintain 4-week look-ahead schedules
- Lead and coordinate multiple specialist subcontractors (M&E, dry lining, joinery etc.)
- Maintain strict Health & Safety standards including inductions, RAMS review and daily inspections
- Ensure quality control against technical drawings and specification
- Manage site logistics and deliveries within a secure operational environment
- Provide clear daily reporting to the Senior Capital Works Project Manager
- Identify and mitigate risks to programme and budget
What We’re Looking For
You will have:
- Proven experience delivering fast-track commercial Cat A or Cat B fit outs
- Strong leadership experience managing multiple trades simultaneously
- Experience working within high-compliance or secure sites (desirable)
- Excellent programme management capability
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to resolve technical clashes quickly and decisively
