Job Description

If you are seeking a fresh challenge and a change in your professional development. We invite applications from enthusiastic social workers to apply for a Grade 9 Social Worker Role within the Independent Living services community team within Ealing Council. This is a permanent role.

This team is a fast-paced social work team undertaking strength-based assessments, attending the court of protection, for 21a challenges, carrying out Mental Capacity Assessment and liaising with other professionals, whilst ensuring a strength-based practice within a robust preventative framework in line with core values and behaviours of the Council.

There is emphasis on working with key networks and community partners to promote creative care planning with our residents, that maximises independence, protecting the most vulnerable and improving sustainable outcomes for our residents, in achieving their aspirations in their local community. Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, there is shared purpose of engaging appropriate statutory provisions in the transfer of long-term care management for onward care and support.

We understand the demands and emotional challenges of the job, where staff are the key drivers to success. The community team prides itself in providing a supportive, dynamic learning culture where practitioners will have the opportunity for further training and development in areas of interest, a range of social work skills and knowledge across a diverse, range of caseloads.

We are looking for a Grade 9 Social Worker who is a team player and is forward thinking, able to influence practice, share learning and build positive relationships with key stakeholders and whose passion is around quality service delivery and staff development.

To enable your customer group, you must have a fluent command of written and spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

You must have the right to work in the UK. Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage.
