Join the Rushcliffe Community Social Work & Therapy Team – Help Shape Lives Locally

Are you a passionate Social Worker looking to make a real impact in your local community? We’re looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and skilled Social Worker to join our Rushcliffe Community Social Work and Therapy Team, part of Nottinghamshire County Council.

Working in one of the most vibrant and supportive teams in the county, you’ll help adults of all ages live the lives they choose – in the place they call home, doing the things that matter most to them.

What makes us different?

We’re a friendly, multi-disciplinary team of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Community Care Officers. We work collaboratively to deliver person-centred, strengths-based support that empowers people to take control of their lives. Every day is varied, fast-paced, and full of opportunities to make a genuine difference.

In This Role, You Will

  • Build trusted relationships with individuals and their families to understand what a good life looks like for them.
  • Use creative, strength-based approaches to support people in achieving their goals.
  • Coordinate support that promotes independence, including reablement and community resources.
  • Manage a diverse caseload and contribute to a strong team culture of learning, reflection, and shared responsibility.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a recognised Social Work qualification and is registered with Social Work England.
  • Brings knowledge of adult safeguarding, social care legislation, and partnership working.
  • Communicates with empathy, listens actively, and respects individual rights and choices.
  • Is organised, proactive, and committed to professional development.

Why join Rushcliffe?

  • Be part of a positive, inclusive team that genuinely supports each other.
  • Enjoy regular supervision, flexible working, and continuous professional development.
  • Work in a beautiful part of Nottinghamshire with strong community connections and resources.

We welcome applications from both Band A and Band B Social Workers (Band B applicants must have at least 2 years of post-qualifying experience). A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role unless disability precludes this.

Ready to join a team where you’ll feel valued and make a lasting impact?

Apply now to become part of the Rushcliffe Community Social Work and Therapy Team

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
