An opportunity has arisen for a full time Social Worker within the Preparing for Adulthood Team (PFA). We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, experienced Social Worker. You must have a Social Work Qualification and be registered by Social Work England.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a multi specialist team offering assessment and commissioning support for young people as they enter adulthood. You will work in a strength-based way and aim to make a real difference to the lives of young people experiencing learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health and ASD.
PFA is part of the Adult Social Work & Therapy Service, you will work in accordance with legislation such as The Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act. Good communication, time management and IT skills are essential. Applicants must have knowledge and experience of safeguarding adults work within multi-agency procedures.
PFA work alongside Children’s Social Care, education and health in order to support a young person as they move into adulthood and adult services – working closely with the young person you are able to support them in achieving their aspirations and outcomes at a pivotal time in their life.
PFA is a countywide team in a rewarding service area within adult social work and the team offers good support within a friendly atmosphere. You will receive regular supervision and have access to appropriate training and opportunities for personal development.
A full driving licence and access to transport is essential, disabled employees who are unable to drive because of their disability will be able to use taxis to carry out their duties.
