Software Developer | Global Electronic Trading Firm | HFT Research - Up to £550k TC
My client is a global electronic market maker. Build the infrastructure that makes markets across millions of instruments. Latency directly impacts performance. System failures cost money in real time.
You'll own low-latency execution systems, real-time pricing engines, and the data infrastructure that feeds ML inference under microsecond budgets. Engineering isn't a support function here, it's the core of the business.
What you'll build
Order routing and risk gating operating in microseconds. Pricing engines computing live Greeks across millions of instruments. Data infrastructure handling circuit breakers, exotics, corporate actions at extreme throughput. ML inference pipelines where latency and determinism aren't negotiable.
Who we want:
Deep C++ and Python. Experience with CUDA or GPU-accelerated systems is a plus. You've built low-latency systems, distributed systems under real constraints, or large-scale data processing. You understand when precision matters and when to optimize. You profile production code. You're skeptical of benchmarks and biased toward measurable results.
Why this matters:
Most infrastructure engineers optimize for throughput or cost. You'll optimize for latency and determinism under load, problems that separate good systems from great ones. Your code runs live. You see the technical consequences immediately.
You'll work alongside researchers and engineers who've solved problems most developers never encounter. The intellectual environment is genuinely different. The finance domain is learnable. The engineering instincts are what they're hiring for.
