This is a new role to support Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) growth within the Simulation and Training domain. You will be joining a distributed development team working on a constructive simulation product currently under development by Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH located in Bremen, Germany. Your initial focus will be on knowledge transfer, including a visit to Bremen for training, familiarisation, and early development tasks.
Following this onboarding period, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the product, introducing new features and functionality to support the UK military customer, and integrating the software with third-party systems and platforms.
The role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies and international teams on technically engaging and meaningful work. Applicants must be willing to work within the Defence sector and undertake Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Clearance (SC) checks, if not already held.

Essential Skills
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Several years of experience in C# (Sharp) and .NET Core
- Experience with developing distributed simulation systems and constructive simulation
- Knowledge of cloud environments and databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Experience in developing distributed systems and client/server architectures, especially for constructive simulation context.
- Knowledge of using ASP.Net Core and SignalR
- Expertise integrating and operating distributed event streaming platforms (preferably Apache Kafka)
- Experience with containerized development environments and deployment approaches (preferably Docker)
- Experience with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA) implementation
- Experience using FlatBuffers
- Experience using git and MS Visual Studio development environments
