Location – Warrington ( WA3 6UT)
As a Software Tester, you will be a key member of the QA team, actively a part of transformation project teams, working to a mix of Agile and traditional methodologies. You will be working with multiple teams at once, joining daily stand-ups and prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
You will perform tests (documenting the process and results) and ensure deadlines and test coverage are met for allocated workload.
What you will be doing:
- Use existing test scenarios and scripts to test the correct configurations of the software platform for each client, thoroughly documenting all test results.
- Complete all testing tasks within allocated deadlines, raising concerns or blockers with stakeholders and project managers.
- Take ownership for specific testing changes/ projects, providing regular updates, and giving final sign off prior to go live.
- Ensure all test results and bugs are documented to standard process and are stored appropriately for later review and audit purposes (within a timely manner).
- Works with Test Lead, development team Scrum Leads, and operational project teams daily. Collaborating online with RS Integrated supply remote operational staff for internal testing, and additionally including customer staff within external testing calls.
What do I need to be successful?
If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:
- Experience in a tester role.
- Software testing qualification (e.g., ISTQB Certified Testing Foundation Level or Software Testing apprenticeship level 3 or 4).
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Demonstrate strong ownership in defect tracking by independently driving resolution across both technical and business teams—including Procurement, Finance, and Operations—minimising reliance on project or line management escalation, ensuring issues are proactively followed up and resolved to avoid delivery delays.
- Knowledge of ERP platforms and procurement, Microsoft Dynamics an advantage.
- Experience writing and updating test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Organised, methodical, and self-motivated approach to work with a critical eye for detail.
- Experienced in a fast pace and often reactive environment, comfortable working with non-technical and client facing team members.
