Embedded within an Agile delivery team, the architect will translate business outcomes into coherent solution designs and provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead solution design across application, data, integration, and security domains.

• Produce High‑Level and Detailed Designs, including logical architecture, workflows, data flows, and technology stack.

• Ensure designs meet functional and non‑functional requirements (performance, security, resilience, auditability, scalability).

• Develop conceptual and logical data models supporting aggregation, reporting, and governance.

• Contribute to as‑is/to‑be process mapping and user story refinement.

• Provide architectural guidance during build, test, and release phases.

Governance, Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as design authority, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic roadmaps.

• Present solutions to governance forums (Design Authority, Architecture Review Board).

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and partners to assess options and guide technical decisions.

•Ensure deviations from standards are justified, documented, and governed.

Cross‑Programme Consistency

• Maintain architectural integrity across programmes, ensuring consistent patterns, reusable components, and interoperable data structures.

• Produce and maintain architecture models at appropriate levels of abstraction.

Risk & Technology Leadership

• Identify and manage architecture risks, dependencies, and design gaps.

• Recommend technologies, tools, and patterns aligned with enterprise standards.

• Clearly articulate trade‑offs, constraints, and rationale to senior stakeholders.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience designing custom, in‑house solutions as a Solution Architect.

• Strong background in application, data, integration, and security architecture.

• Hands‑on experience producing HLDs, LLDs, data models, and interface specifications.

• Skilled in UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, and familiar with TOGAF/Zachman frameworks.

• Strong understanding of integration patterns (REST, messaging, events, ETL, batch).

• Experience with master data domains (Party, Facility, Instrument, Product, Country, Sector, Ratings).

• Technical expertise with:

• Java (backend)

• Angular (frontend)

• Camunda (workflow/BPM)

• MS SQL Server & PostgreSQL

• Microsoft Azure (cloud‑native design, API gateways, security, DevOps, IaC)

• Experience embedding NFRs into solution design.

• Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments.

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage senior business and IT stakeholders.

Desired Experience

• Procurement or Corporate Functions (Finance, HR, Risk, Legal) solution design.

• Experience in mid‑sized organisations with legacy technology.

• Programming skills (Python, Java, SQL).

• Experience in large IT/business change programmes.

• Strong analytical, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution skills.

• Ability to make decisions under uncertainty and articulate assumptions and risks.
