Role Overview
The Solution Architect will lead the end‑to‑end design of a bespoke Client‑Led Procurement solution, ensuring it is secure, scalable, cloud‑native, and aligned with the Bank’s enterprise architecture. Embedded within an Agile delivery team, the architect will translate business outcomes into coherent solution designs and provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
• Lead solution design across application, data, integration, and security domains.
• Produce High‑Level and Detailed Designs, including logical architecture, workflows, data flows, and technology stack.
• Ensure designs meet functional and non‑functional requirements (performance, security, resilience, auditability, scalability).
• Develop conceptual and logical data models supporting aggregation, reporting, and governance.
• Contribute to as‑is/to‑be process mapping and user story refinement.
• Provide architectural guidance during build, test, and release phases.
Governance, Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as design authority, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic roadmaps.
• Present solutions to governance forums (Design Authority, Architecture Review Board).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and partners to assess options and guide technical decisions.
•Ensure deviations from standards are justified, documented, and governed.
Cross‑Programme Consistency
• Maintain architectural integrity across programmes, ensuring consistent patterns, reusable components, and interoperable data structures.
• Produce and maintain architecture models at appropriate levels of abstraction.
Risk & Technology Leadership
• Identify and manage architecture risks, dependencies, and design gaps.
• Recommend technologies, tools, and patterns aligned with enterprise standards.
• Clearly articulate trade‑offs, constraints, and rationale to senior stakeholders.
Essential Experience
• Proven experience designing custom, in‑house solutions as a Solution Architect.
• Strong background in application, data, integration, and security architecture.
• Hands‑on experience producing HLDs, LLDs, data models, and interface specifications.
• Skilled in UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, and familiar with TOGAF/Zachman frameworks.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns (REST, messaging, events, ETL, batch).
• Experience with master data domains (Party, Facility, Instrument, Product, Country, Sector, Ratings).
• Technical expertise with:
• Java (backend)
• Angular (frontend)
• Camunda (workflow/BPM)
• MS SQL Server & PostgreSQL
• Microsoft Azure (cloud‑native design, API gateways, security, DevOps, IaC)
• Experience embedding NFRs into solution design.
• Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage senior business and IT stakeholders.
Desired Experience
• Procurement or Corporate Functions (Finance, HR, Risk, Legal) solution design.
• Experience in mid‑sized organisations with legacy technology.
• Programming skills (Python, Java, SQL).
• Experience in large IT/business change programmes.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to make decisions under uncertainty and articulate assumptions and risks.
