Description

Malander is seeking an experienced SOX Financial Risk & Compliance Manager for a high-impact opportunity within a dynamic and regulated environment. The successful candidate must be immediately available and ready to take ownership of SOX compliance, financial risk management, and internal control frameworks.

This role requires a technically strong CA(SA) with deep knowledge of SOX, governance, risk management, and financial compliance standards.

The successful candidate must be based in the UK.

Immediate availability is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with Business/Function Leads, the Global Compliance Function and Control Owners in implementing financial reporting control standards.
Deliver training to Business/Function stakeholders on financial reporting control standards.
Support deployment of controls as required by Group Financial Risk and Compliance teams, ensuring controls adhere to Group requirements.
Proactively identify the financial compliance impact of changes in business processes, collaborating with both local and global stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for continual improvement and optimisation of financial control processes.

Support control operators in managing and maintaining Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs), enabling robust change management.

Support management and finance teams in undertaking control self-assessments.

Plan and deliver risk-based control reviews in line with Group Financial Risk and Compliance standards.

Evaluate and respond to control testing results, working with relevant stakeholders to develop remediation plans, compensating controls and mitigating controls where necessary.

Track remediation actions to ensure effective and timely resolution of control review outcomes.

Plan and deliver periodic attestations over key controls in consultation with Business/Function Management and Group Financial Risk and Compliance teams.

Manage local risks relating to Fraud and Segregation of Duties, working in consultation with the Global IT function.

Support relationships with internal and external audit teams, including assisting with management responses and alignment with key internal stakeholders and third-party service providers.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) (essential).
Proven experience in SOX compliance, financial risk and internal controls.
Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
Experience working in a multinational or regulated environment.
Advanced knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
Immediate availability (non-negotiable).
