Are you a dietitian looking to develop your public health skills and make a real difference at a population level?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 6 Specialist Public Health Dietitian to join our dynamic, award ‑ winning Public Health Dietetic Team covering Gwynedd and Anglesey within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of high-quality public health nutrition programmes, working as an integral member of a supportive specialist team and in close collaboration with multi ‑ agency partners across the community.
You will support evidence ‑ based practice aligned with Nutrition Skills for Life™, contributing directly to the prevention of overweight and obesity and supporting delivery of the Welsh Government’s Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales strategy. The post provides excellent exposure to partnership working, service development and community engagement across a diverse and largely rural population.
You will also be part of the wider Dietetics Department, joining an enthusiastic and friendly team of over 80 dietitians delivering services across acute care, primary care and public health. We are committed to developing our workforce and offer student placement opportunities, alongside dedicated administrative and assistant support.
Main duties of the job
The Dietitian will support the Team in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice in relation to Public Health, working as an integral member of, and in partnership with multi-agency teams.
You will also remain a key member of the dietetic team, joining an enthusiastic and friendly team of over 80 dietitians delivering services in acute and primary care, and public health. We deliver clinical placements for students, and have secretarial and assistant support.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
