A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Specialist Band 7 Physiotherapist within the Acute and Emergency Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to work within the fast paced clinical areas of the Acute Medicine Wards which include Emergency Department, Medical Assessment Units, and Frailty.

1. To take a team leader role to manage, develop and evaluate the physiotherapy service within this speciality in close liaison with the leadership team and the TSMs.
2. To be a lead clinician for Physiotherapy in Acute and Emergency Medicine. Supervision is self-driven through attendance at conferences, courses or through seeking the advice of peers external to the Trust.
3. To perform highly advanced assessment of patients with diverse presentations and highly complex physical and psychological conditions, to determine a diagnosis and formulate and deliver an appropriate, effective individualised treatment programme.
4. To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
5. Plan, supervise, educate and assess physiotherapy students on placement within the Acute and Emergency Area. Work closely with the university and comply with all standards required for the degree level qualification.
6. Design and undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and teams clinical practice and improve service delivery. Make recommendations and lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols as agreed with the in-patient manager.
