Our York Children’s Therapy Team provides high‑quality, compassionate care across York and Selby for children and young people aged 0–18 with neurodevelopmental conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to work with a diverse caseload of developmental, neurological, and physical needs.
In this role, you will play a key part in helping children and young people maximise their physical potential and independence. The post may involve working across various settings, including the Child Development Centre at York Hospital, Selby Hospital, community settings, and both mainstream and special schools.
You will be joining a friendly, innovative, and supportive Integrated Children’s Therapy Team with a strong commitment to personal and professional development. This post will allow you to develop your clinical, organisational and supervisory skills. We offer regular team meetings, an in‑service training programme, provide access to regular clinical supervision and have a strong commitment to promoting CPD. You will receive support from the Clinical Lead and experienced Band 6 physiotherapists to help you grow within the role.
Applicants must be HCPC‑registered physiotherapists. As the role involves community-based work, it is expected that you will be able to transport yourself around the area. This may include travel to more remote areas which are difficult to reach by public transport.
You will be responsible for providing Specialist Physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and diagnosis support for patients within the specialty of Children’s Neurodevelopmental Physiotherapy.
- You will work as an autonomous practitioner, holding responsibility for your own caseload of patients with complex physical, psychological & cognitive problems.
