Description
The Radiology department at the Royal United Hospital is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Specialist radiographers to join our team. The department is known for their forward thinking and innovative approach. We are currently installing a new Siemens Xceed CT scanner and have recently procured MRI deep resolve acceleration software. Staff provide 24/7 cover to X-ray, theatre and fluoroscopy, together with CT, MRI, interventional and cardiac.
Due to an investment in the Radiology workforce, we are looking to expand our team to provide additional CT and MRI capacity by working further extended days and weekends.
Depending on experience, you will participate in a rota that will include on-call duties and night shifts across different modalities, covering 7 days.
The purpose of this role is to conduct diagnostic radiography examinations, producing high quality diagnostic images:
Upon a range of patient types
Both as an autonomous radiographic practitioner and as part of a multi-professional team
In a manner that meets professional, departmental & legal standards and requirements
To organise workload in areas of delegated responsibility on a daily basis, maximising efficiency using the available resources and managing patient priority as appropriate.
To be responsible for a high standard of patient care to include a diverse range of patients
To independently assess each patient and adapt radiographic techniques according to the needs of the patient
To use professional discretion and experience to ensure that best clinical practice is maintained
To participate in out of hours duties to include nights, on-call and weekends.
