6 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity to specialise in dysfluency as part of our community service. This post is suitable for a specialist therapist with experience of working with children who present with dysfluency, or as a developing specialist.

We are a friendly and supportive team committed to providing effective services to children and young people (CYP) in Peterborough.

With a strong ethos of CPD, clinical support and supervision, our dynamic team provides evidence-based advice, training and interventions to CYP their families and education staff. We work with CYP aged 0-19 with speech, language and communication needs and feeding difficulties at universal, targeted and specialist levels.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of specialist clinical caseloads of children and young people with dysfluency. Depending on the candidate and experience there may also be opportunities to work with children and young people presenting with voice disorders. S/he will work independently with access to more senior colleagues as needed, be responsible for supervision of more junior colleagues and a first point of contact for the preschools and schools they are working in for the service.

This post is suitable for a therapist with experience in the specialism or as a developing specialist post.
