This post is fixed term/secondment for 24 months due to Service needs.
We are looking for a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Children’s Community Team within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) to work with children with a speech, language and communication needs.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 6 SLT to work 18.75 hours per week (0.5 WTE), based in Denscombe Community Clinic in Caerphilly.

Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist assessment and intervention for children with a range of speech, language and communication needs including but not limited to speech sound disorder, DLD, stammering and voice.
- Work collaboratively with families and carers, school staff, and with early years practitioners to support speech, language and communication development
- Provide robust assessment and evidence-based interventions to support ongoing speech, language and communication development
- The successful applicant will work closely with partners in education, colleagues from other professions and families. You will have well developed clinical decision making skills to support children with speech, language and communication needs. The candidate will have clinical supervision responsibilities.
