The successful candidate will primarily be clinic based. The successful candidate will be expected to do outpatient clinics covering multi-specialty services including urgent care. The appointee will be expected to undertake duties at Bexhill Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital . Both sites are well equipped to provide a modern high quality ophthalmic service.
Job description
This post is for a Specialty Doctor to the Department of Ophthalmology in East Sussex Healthcare Trust. The post-holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the specialty, chiefly supporting the out-patient ophthalmic service.
The successful candidate will be clinic based. The successful candidate will be expected to do outpatient clinics covering multi-specialty services including urgent care. Candidates may be encouraged to develop surgical skills in theatre in the future.

Essential
- Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or o shall have equivalent experience and competencies
Registration

- GMC registration with a licence to practise
