This is a full-time Specialty Doctor post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery based at the Royal United Hospital Bath.
You will join an established and supportive department comprising five Specialty Doctors and four Consultants, contributing to the delivery of high-quality oral and maxillofacial surgical services.
Our outpatient department offers a comprehensive service relating to conditions of the face, mouth and jaws, including a routine assessment and treatment service for common oral surgical conditions.

Based at the RUH in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath. Bath is an historic city known for its elegant Georgian architecture, green spaces and vibrant cultural scene. It also boasts a variety of renowned schools, including primary, secondary, and higher education institutions. Bath Spa University and the University of Bath are prominent universities in the area.
Key Responsibilities In This Vital Role Include
- To provide, to a high standard, a full range of specialist oral surgery and oral medicine services, treatment and care to inpatients, day cases and outpatients who need OMFS services.
- To provide and develop a sub-specialty interest that complements the needs of the department and supports the interests of the existing consultants.
- To contribute to the academic life of the OMFS Department, the Division and the Trust. To contribute to the teaching of junior medical staff, medical students and other Trust staff. To undertake and promote research initiatives within the Department
