The Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) is currently seeking qualified, motivated accountants to join us as Staff Officer (SO) Accountants across departments and agencies throughout Northern Ireland.
Strong financial management is central to delivering high-quality public services. As a Staff Officer Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective stewardship of public funds, supporting strategic decision-making and promoting value for money across government.

Staff Officer Accountant is the first level of middle management within the NICS accountancy profession. You will work within one of nine Northern Ireland Government Departments or their agencies, contributing to financial reporting, governance, planning and performance.
