Group Financial Reporting Senior Manager

Derby, UK

Derby/Hybrid 2/3 Days onsite

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Group Financial Control team, with a specific focus on ensuring our financial statements are compliant with financial policies and regulatory standards, whilst driving an efficient audit across the Group.

The role reports to the Statutory Reporting Senior Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the group’s activities to ensure external reporting deadlines are met and the external audit is delivered in the most efficient way. The role will work closely with key stakeholders within Group Financial Control, Group Technical Accounting and the finance and business teams across each of the divisions, as well as with our external auditors.

A key aspect of the role is to ensure the smooth running of our processes through robust programme management and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group Financial Control team, wider Rolls-Royce teams and with PwC. We are a partner of the business. What You Will Be Doing

• Preparation of the Group financial statements in line with UK listing rules, the interim financial statements, analysis required for presentation purposes, as well as preparing the finance sections of the Annual Report

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, and an external audit background

Strong technical accounting experience; appreciation of FX and statutory treatment of balances and transactions

Strong financial reporting experience with an appreciation of FTSE listing rules

Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills with an ability to create and agree workable solutions

A strong finance aptitude with a track record of delivering within committed timescales and maintaining customer focus

Resilience, problem solving and good judgement – this role is often the first call for issues and queries, for which no clear answer exists or prior knowledge is available

Ability to quickly understand complex issues and summarise and articulate them in a simple and concise manner
