Assist with the confidential management of patient records both paper and electronic ensuring compliance with Data Protection and patient confidentiality legislation.Accurate recording of all paper/computerised patient records, updating and amending information timely and within standard operating procedures.Maintain electronic patient records which are held locally to ensure immediate accessibility for appropriate staff.Confidential management of patient records, ensuring copies of correspondence are stored in the patients records in accordance standard operating procedures.Use initiative to liaise with associated areas to ensure active management of patients and prevention of bottlenecks to treatment.Direct patients to the appropriate health care professional for any enquiry.

Key Requirements
- 4 GCSE's including maths and English at Grade 4 (old grade C) or above.
- NVQ3 or equivalent in Business administration / or willingness to work towards ILM qualification.
- Experience of working with confidential materials.
- Experience of working with filling systems.
- Experience of good customer or patient care.
- Experience of working with computer software.
- Experience of working in an organised and logical manner.
- Understanding and knowledge of work policies and procedures (Data Protection Act)
- Experience of office working practices
