A mixture of early and late shifts between 07:30 and 21:00, Monday - Saturday (working 5 days)

We’re looking for a CSSD Technician to join our Sterile Services (CSSD) team based at The Harley Street Clinic. The department plays a critical role in supporting clinical services by ensuring the safe, effective decontamination and distribution of reusable medical devices. This team operates to the highest standards, working closely with theatres and clinical teams to maintain patient safety and deliver exceptional care. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth running of hospital operations and ensuring equipment availability when it matters most.
As a CSSD Technician, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of a safe and efficient decontamination service. Responsibilities will include carrying out the full decontamination cycle while maintaining strict compliance with quality and safety standards. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll liaise with clinical teams, support junior staff, and contribute to continuous improvements across the department. What You’ll Do
Carry out decontamination processes including disassembly, cleaning, sterilisation, and reassembly of medical devices
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems
Support and guide Apprentice CSSD Technicians in daily activities
Maintain accurate tracking records using HESSDA systems and monitor stock levels
Communicate with clinical teams and escalate non-conformance issues appropriately
What You’ll Bring
Experience working in a decontamination / sterile services environment
Knowledge of cleaning, disinfection, and sterilisation of medical devices
Understanding of infection control, COSHH, HTM guidelines, and ISO standards
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures accurately and escalate faults appropriately
NVQ Level 3 in Decontamination Science (or equivalent experience)
