About This Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Street Cleaning Operative to join our friendly team. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of Council-managed land across both urban and rural areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a small, supportive team to maintain clean and well‑presented public spaces
  • Driving and operating a range of council vehicles and equipment (full driving licence required; Driver CPC may be needed for some vehicles)
  • Completing essential paperwork and digital records accurately
  • Following all health & safety instructions and promoting best practice at all times
  • Reporting accidents, near misses, hazards, and potential dangers promptly
  • Engaging politely with members of the public and responding to service enquiries
  • Carrying out additional duties flexibly across teams and locations as needed
