HSE Software Account Executive

Salary: £25,000 per annum, plus commission

Location: Norwich, NR7

Contract: Permanent, full time

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 9:00–17:30, 1-hour unpaid lunch

Work model: Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 in office) following successful completion of a 3-month probationary period

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Account Executive to manage and grow our web-based HSE Software Tools channel (Stress & Safety Climate), currently generating over £600k in annual revenue.


This is a client-facing, revenue-accountable role working with a diverse international customer base across corporate, government and academic sectors.

You will take ownership of subscription growth, renewal performance and customer engagement, while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the HSE Software Tools portfolio, customer base and market positioning
  • Take ownership of growing the direct customer base and achieving agreed revenue and GMAR targets
  • Manage the full subscription lifecycle, including proactive renewal management and retention strategies
  • Analyse customer and market data to identify new target organisations and growth opportunities
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns and generate qualified leads
  • Identify opportunities to partner with industry bodies and associations
  • Attend relevant conferences and events to strengthen relationships and drive new business
  • Support customers with technical account administration and resolve issues effectively
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Services, Marketing and wider internal teams to deliver revenue objectives
  • About You

    • Minimum 1 year sales experience within publishing, digital services or SaaS
    • Sales experience with online products is desirable
    • Experience selling internationally desirable
    • Commercially motivated and target-driven
    • Willing and eager to learn within this unique and specialised business area
    • Confident engaging with corporate and public-sector stakeholders
    • Comfortable working with technical products and supporting customers
    • Strong organisational and CRM skills
    • Able to analyse data and translate insights into action
    • Team-oriented with a proactive, growth-focused mindset
    • Confident manner with ability to communicate at all levels
    • Highly organised with good administrative skills
