  • Monday – Friday + Saturday or Sunday
  • Option for Full-time or Part-time
  • Fixed-term contract from June 23rd – August 22nd
  • Possibility of accommodation in return for residence duties
  • Potential for full-time employment post summer

Responsibilities

  • Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities and events within London, and Day Trips across the wider UK
  • Researches excursion destinations, leads a guided tour at the destination and gives interesting information and facts to students.
  • Creates a lively atmosphere during excursions, delivering excellent customer service
  • Takes responsibility for health and safety of all students including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency situations in line with EF policy and procedures
  • Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to discuss how to improve future activities and gives a thorough handover after each activity or event to aid future planning
  • Attends and assists with large events and parties.
  • Ensures the EF Student Code of Conduct is followed by all students at all times and informs the management immediately if there are any issues or problems

  • Requirements

    • Highly motivated, energetic and positive with a sociable personality
    • Confident in leading and managing large groups of students
    • Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
    • An interest in history and tour-guiding
    • A team player, happy to work in collaboration with others
    • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
    • Customer service minded and quality oriented
    • Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences
    • Excellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clients
    • A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
    • Fluency in English
    • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
    • Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment
