Our Supply Chain Quality team plays a vital role in ensuring that every supplier supporting our SMR programme meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational readiness. We partner closely with suppliers, engineering teams, manufacturing, EHS and wider supply chain functions to safeguard product integrity and enable a predictable, safe and efficient global supply chain.

In this context, we’re looking for a Supply Chain Quality Engineer to lead supplier audits, assess compliance against regulatory and quality frameworks, and ensure suppliers are fully approved and continuously assured throughout the supply lifecycle. • Produce highquality audit and assessment reports that inform sourcing and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse supplier performance data to identify risks, trends, nonconformances and improvement opportunities.
  • Support containment, rootcause analysis and corrective actions to maintain stable and improving supplier performance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure aligned expectations.
  • Support adherence to change control, regulatory frameworks and internal governance processes.
  • Maintain accurate supplier information across digital systems, ensuring robust data integrity.
  • Champion continuous improvement, promoting standardisation, best practice and process excellence.
  • Travel regularly to supplier and customer sites as part of ongoing assurance and relationship management.

You’ll Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supplier assurance, supplier auditing or quality engineering.
  • Background working within highly regulated or complex industrial environments — nuclear, aerospace, defence, automotive, energy or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001 (and ideally ISO19443).
  • Experience with problemsolving tools such as 8D, A3, RCCA or 5Why.
  • Strong communication, reporting and influencing skills.
  • Confidence working directly with suppliers and supporting onsite quality activities.

Beneficial (not Essential)

  • Lead Auditor certification (ISO9001 / ISO19443)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • APQP / PPAP experience
  • Experience in supplier development or capability uplift
