As a Support Assistant you will be responsible for providing technical property work on behalf of the council, this is wide ranging due to the council large property portfolio. It will include the valuation, letting and disposal of property assets and require you to work with a range of both internal and external parties to ensure a successful delivery of the required outcomes.

As a Support Assistant, you will bring to the role:
- Experience of communicating clearly and effectively with a wide range of people, internal teams, external partners and being able to develop strong working relationships.
- Ability to work on your own, using your initiative and prioritise workloads to meet required timescales and deadlines.
- Accurately record and retrieve information from various databases.
- Produce clear and concise reports and communications.
About The Role
As our next Support Assistant, you will undertake property work on behalf of the Council that will include valuation of Council housing, the sale of garden land and other minor property assets, the granting of leases and licences (such as site compounds and grazing licences). It will also involve more general day to day property transactions with external organisations to include Statutory Providers and Telecommunications Operators. The work will require site visits outside of the office setting so will involve travelling around the city to undertake inspections of land and property assets and will provide a good opportunity to work on the interesting and varied property portfolio owned by the Council.
The role will require an enthusiastic and organised individual with an interest in property transactional work. The successful applicant will join the Land and Property team within City Development. A general understanding of land and property matters would be useful, but guidance, support and training will be provided to the successful applicant.
