Wipro’s is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator / DevOps Engineer to manage and evolve a hybrid Windows/Linux/AWS infrastructure supporting global software development teams in the UK, USA & India
This is a hands-on technical role combining infrastructure operations, cloud automation, and
DevOps enablement within a commercial software development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain a mixed Windows, Linux, VMs and AWS environment
- Maintain and optimise VMware/Proxmox virtual platforms
- Oversee enterprise backups and disaster recovery processes
- Manage Active Directory, Microsoft 365, identity & access control
Required Experience & Skills
- Considerable experience in managing mixed Windows/Linux/cloud infrastructure
- Solid Linux systems administration skills
- Hands-on experience of managing and troubleshooting networking devices
- Experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Virtualisation (VMware, Proxmox or equivalent)
- Backup & DR management
- Familiarity with Windows Server & AD administration experience
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker/Podman)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience in software development environments
- CI/CD pipeline management experience
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or similar)
- Cloud cost monitoring and optimisation
- IT security and firewall/VPN management
- Hardware procurement and vendor management
