Tax and Financial Accountant

JSS Tax are hiring for a Group Tax and Financial Accountant for a leading manufacturing business based in Luton (supporting flexible working)

This is a full-time permanent role paying circa £60k-£80k plus bonus & benefits package.

The Tax and Financial Accountant will report into the UK FD and will interact with other members of the global tax team.

He or She will be responsible for looking after all areas of UK direct and indirect tax, with the support of external tax advisors. This includes preparation/review of tax compliance, responding to tax queries from the business, general tax advisory activities and ad-hoc tax project work.

On top this person will get involved in general financial accounting support for the UK business such as preparing quarterly and and annual statutory accounts, review of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and technical finance project work..

The company are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAS etc) with strong UK tax experience and ideally some broader finance experience i.e. from an accounting or audit role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax specialist looking for an in-house which offers greater breadth and potentially a route to a commercial finance or Finance Director role in the future; But also would equally suit a financial accountant with some tax experience who is interested in specializing in tax and deepening their tax capabilities.
