What you'll be doing
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract, starting in July/August.
This role is responsible for supporting the Group Tax function in maintaining high standards of reporting and compliance for Berkeley Group. As a collaborative partner, you will translate technical tax complexities into pragmatic advice for finance, property, and commercial stakeholders. Serving as the primary point of contact for the department, you will stay at the forefront of legislative changes and best practice while actively identifying and driving opportunities for process improvement.
To provide support and assurance to the Head of Tax that Berkeley Group is compliant with all relevant UK and overseas tax requirements and to assist with the implementation of the Group Tax Strategy.
The role is required to ensure that Berkeley Group’s accounting systems, processes and controls would satisfy any internal or external audit or enquiry. Develop and maintain good working relationships with finance colleagues, head office and HMRC and act as initial point of contact for the Group Tax function.
