Mondrian Alpha is partnering with a prestigious, globally recognised Hedge Fund to appoint a Tax Specialist into its expanding UK/EMEA Tax team in London.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to join a high-calibre tax function at a firm known for its exceptional performance, sophisticated global platform, and strong investment in its people. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of tax matters across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with senior tax leadership, internal business teams, and external advisers.
Reporting into the Head of Tax, this role will play a key role in supporting corporate tax compliance, VAT filings, withholding tax processes, transfer pricing reviews, and regulatory reporting. The position will also involve internal reconciliations, monitoring tax law developments, supporting audits and regulatory inquiries, and contributing to process improvement initiatives across the global tax function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move into, or further develop within, a world-class buy-side environment, gaining hands-on exposure to complex tax issues in a fast-paced and highly commercial setting. The role offers a strong mix of compliance, advisory, stakeholder management, and transformation-focused work, with genuine scope to influence how tax processes are managed across the business.
The ideal candidate will have 0–2 years’ post-qualification tax experience (ACA / CTA), either gained in-house within financial services or at a leading accountancy firm. A strong grounding in UK tax is essential, while exposure to US / European tax regimes would be highly advantageous. Candidates should have experience across direct and indirect tax, with knowledge of transfer pricing, withholding tax, and double tax treaties. Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders will be key.
Experience improving, automating, or streamlining tax reporting processes would be a significant advantage, as the firm continues to invest in technology, operational efficiency, and best-in-class infrastructure.
The firm offers a high-performance yet collaborative culture, exceptional compensation, and market-leading benefits. Its London office provides state-of-the-art facilities, world-class amenities, and an informal, intellectually engaging environment. Employees benefit from a flexible WFH policy, strong work-life balance, and a culture that actively supports learning, development, and long-term progression.
For an ambitious tax professional looking to build their career within one of the most respected names in the hedge fund space, this is a standout opportunity offering excellent exposure, strong earning potential, and meaningful career growth.
