The role
We are seeking a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of English who understands that students take different pathways in their learning. You will deliver engaging English teaching across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to draw on KS2 knowledge where needed to close gaps and support progression into KS4.
You will join a dedicated team that works collaboratively to share and evolve best practice, with support through Amegreen Education and West Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that lead to strong progress and outcomes
- Teach English across KS3 and KS4, adapting content and approach to meet individual needs
- Good degree in subject and QTS
- Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 effectively, with up-to-date curriculum knowledge
- Strong adaptive teaching skills for a range of learning needs
- A positive, engaging teaching style that motivates and inspires pupils
- A consistent approach to behaviour, boundaries and relationship building
- Commitment to contributing to wider school life, including revision and enrichment
- Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm, with minimal after-hours commitments
- Friday afternoons are CPD time with no students on site, plus 10 INSET days across the year
