An opportunity has arisen for a committed and conscientious individual who would like to contribute to the success of our school by joining our English and Languages Faculty as a teacher of English.

This role is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers. All we ask is that you have a passion for your subject, be innovative in the classroom as well as ambitious for your students and your own professional development.

City of Norwich School – An Ormiston Academy, known locally as CNS, is a popular and well-respected secondary school and sixth form that was established in 1910 and that has been a key part of the educational landscape of Norwich ever since. CNS is a vibrant, forward-thinking Academy, rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED with high expectations for all its staff and students.

We offer a broad and well-designed curriculum; specialist teachers have excellent subject knowledge and students wit
h additional needs receive strong support. The KS5 curriculum ensures students learn what they need to be successful in their next stage and develop deep knowledge about their subjects beyond the remit of the formal examinations.

In our OFSTED report, staff praised the collaborative culture of the school and students were said to be proud to be a part of the CNS community. We were the EDP Secondary School of the Year 2023 and runners up for best higher education. In the 2024 Time Parent power tables, we were the highest ranked Norfolk secondary school.
