Description
Physics at Wellington College is thriving, with laboratories and engaged pupils; we’re recruiting a teacher to spark scientific curiosity in the classroom and beyond.

Wellington College is a vibrant, innovative boarding and day school where curiosity, ambition and kindness help shape confident, thoughtful young people. Pupils thrive within an environment that values integrity, creative thinking and a willingness to embrace challenge. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections.

The Physics Department is a dynamic and highly collaborative team, known for its strong academic profile and commitment to both rigorous scientific thinking and creative exploration. Refurbished laboratories, lively discussion and a culture of shared practice ensure that teaching here feels purposeful, engaging and forward‑looking. Pupils arrive enthusiastic and motivated, with many progressing to university courses in Physics, Engineering and other STEM pathways.

As a Teacher of Physics, you will help pupils aged 13-18 develop confidence, understanding and curiosity across a range of courses. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge pupils to question, analyse and think independently. You will also contribute to the wider academic life of the department by supporting enrichment activities that nurture scientific ambition.

Life at Wellington is rich and full, and your role will extend beyond the classroom. You will support pupils pastorally through the House system and play an active part in cocurricular life, whether through clubs, talks, sport, weekend activities or academic societies. Your enthusiasm for subject and community will help pupils feel known, supported and inspired.

Professional development is central to our culture. You will be encouraged to reflect on your practice, engage with colleagues across departments and participate in opportunities that support growth, innovation and shared learning.
