Are you passionate about making a difference to children with SEND? We’re seeking a caring, patient, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at St Oswald's C of E Primary School.

About the role:

You will work with children in an EYFS environment who have SEND Needs. Your work will include delivering interventions, supporting Attention Autism activities. You will be part of creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive working within the EYFS and SEND team.

Knowledge and experience of working in an EYFS setting using development matters, celebratory checklists and formative footprints would advantageous.

About you:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
  • At least a Level 2 qualification (or willingness to work towards this)
  • Knowledge and understanding of developmental needs and approaches such as Attention Autism
  • Knowledge of EYFS development matters, celebratory footprints and formative footprints
  • Ability to provide sensitive care and support positive behaviour
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
