Skylark Federation are looking for a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Assistant to join our welcoming and friendly village school in Kingston, Lewes. We have friendly and engaged families, happy children who are keen to do their best and offer a positive, supportive working environment.
The hours of work are 8.30am until 12.00pm five days a week as a teaching assistant (initially in year 2) 12.00 noon until 1.00pm as a lunchtime assistant. This position is for five days a week.
The successful candidate will support the teacher in the classroom to deliver teaching. You will work with children and assist with all learning activities.
You will either work across the classroom, one-to-one with a pupil or with a small group, assisting children who may need a little extra help. You’ll be there to boost the confidence of the pupils you are working with, empowering the children in a nurturing and supportive environment whilst openly assisting the teacher.
You will be an extra pair of eyes in the classroom, picking up on any changes in behaviour and helping to ensure that every child has a safe and happy learning experience.
We are a popular group of schools, and we would love to welcome you to our Federation. We are in a lovely setting but an easy commute from Lewes and other areas.
