Are you ready to take the next step in your career to help shape and develop occupational therapy services across Angus?

We are looking to recruit a new team lead occupational therapist for our North Angus community rehabilitation teams. You will be based in Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre (WHCC), Forfar and provide leadership support to the North Angus community teams based at WHCC and Stracathro Hospital. You will provide clinical input into the inpatient wards at WHCC (medicine for the elderly and a small hospice) and provide assessment and intervention in North West Angus for older adults and adults across the lifespan with physical disabilities, long term conditions and palliative care needs. You would work within a muti-disciplinary team including general practitioners, advanced nurse practitioners, social workers and physiotherapists.

You should be an experienced occupational therapist with the confidence to manage a complex and varied
clinical community and in patient caseload, with the ability and experience of supporting and educating others. We are looking for someone who has experience in quality improvement and team development. If you have excellent collaborative and leadership skills, you would be a great asset to our service.

The Occupational Therapy Service in Angus offers comprehensive support, supervision and is committed to Continued Professional Development and actively uses Turas. You would be joining our service at an exciting time as we move forward together to meet the needs of the Angus population and strive to meet government targets of care closer to home and providing increasing preventative care.

You should possess a BSc/Dip COT in Occupational Therapy, have previous post graduate experience, be registered with HCPC and must produce evidence of continuing personal development. A requirement of this post is a willingness to travel across the locality.
