About the service
Here at North Yorkshire Council, we are extremely proud of our Children’s Services, rated Outstanding across all areas by Ofsted.
Our team works with children and young people who are cared for by the Local Authority, working closely with families, using an established Practice Model to create plans to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people. This includes working with children in the care of their parents or members of their network, in Local Authority foster care or sometimes residential care and children and families going through care proceedings. This means we cover all aspects of the court process, a good understanding of this or a willingness to learn is vital.
About the Role
As a Team Manager, you will lead and manage Social Workers with the support of Practice Supervisors to ensure the delivery of an effective social work service to children and their families in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures. You will:
What We’re Looking For
It is an exciting time in Children and Young Peoples Services in North Yorkshire as we plan our approach in respect of the Families First Partnership Programme and how we will be responding to the social care reforms. Work is underway to plan our approach and implementations for 2027. As a result of this, some realignment may happen with job roles in the future, we want to be transparent about this in respect of this role.
