Our team is involved in every element of People and Finance activity. That includes payroll, casework, referencing and onboarding, through to billing, paying suppliers, and month end activities. It’s up to us to lead, support and deliver an excellent service across our core processes including;

Job Description

We’re looking for a new Team Member to join our Accounts Payable team based at our Business Services Centre in Glasgow. Using your accounts payable experience you will support the business in processing and paying invoices accurately and on time each month. You will be supporting the delivery of supplier assurance and payments, ensuring strong delivery of our supplier procurement and payments process.

Your role will involve

  • Processing Invoices, expenses, setting up and amending supplier accounts and payment runs.
  • Monitoring and acting on invoices on hold to address any issues that may prevent payment.
  • Working as part of the team to process and reconcile transactions with accuracy and timeliness, while also performing reconciliations between various systems and interfacing with the teams based at Heathrow Airport to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and ensuring that data is checked and inputted accurately to be able to trail all documents and actions. Consistently looking to drive process improvement and participate across process or change initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge and skills through training and coaching


These Skills Are Essential

  • Previous experience of transaction processing and account payable processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrable experience of communicating effectively with all levels across the business both written and verbally.
  • Strong organisational skills, with ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines whilst maintaining high standards.
  • Flexible, self-motivated team player, with ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision.
  • Proficient in the practical use of Microsoft Office suite.

Working location

Your contractual place of work will be the Heathrow Business Services Centre in Glasgow so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to work.

We also have some hybrid roles with a working approach which offers the opportunity for colleagues to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow.  Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
