About the Role
The Technical Planner is responsible for controlling repair projects within the Aftermarket Operations Repair Facility and coordinating with external vendors from the release of work orders through to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with NOV specifications and quality standards.
The Technical Planner plays a key role in coordinating repair activities, maintaining accurate planning documentation, monitoring job costs, and facilitating communication between internal teams, customers, and suppliers. This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring work orders, inspection plans, and documentation are properly managed throughout the repair lifecycle.

- Create, revise, and maintain Quality Plans, Routers, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Prepare work packs and release work orders to the repair shop.
- Schedule and lead job kick-off meetings for new projects.
- Ensure repair projects are completed on time and within planned cost targets.
Qualifications & Skills
- GCSE Level 3 or above or equivalent relevant business qualification.
- Computer literacy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in a similar planning or operational role.
- HNC/HND in a business-related subject or equivalent qualification.
- Working knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate and apply technical information.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Process management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads.
- Strong communication and written documentation skills.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with strong peer relationship skills.
- Confident and professional communicator in both written and verbal interactions.
- Diplomatic and firm when negotiating or resolving issues.
