About the Role

Working within the Global Internals & Proprietary Equipment (IPE) team at NOV Frimley, Camberley, you will lead the preparation and submission of high-quality quotation documents for both internal and external NOV clients. From initial Business Development/Sales handover through to award or closure, you will manage assigned tenders, ensuring the delivery of tailored, compliant, and commercially competitive bids.

You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Legal, Manufacturing, Projects, Engineering, Management, BD, and Sales teams to develop solutions that meet technical, operational, and commercial requirements. A proactive understanding of market dynamics will be essential, enabling you to communicate insights to the Head of Tender and contribute to maintaining NOV’s competitive position.

This role requires a strong understanding of process equipment manufacturing to translate technical specifications into commercially viable proposals. You will be confident, organised, and motivated to take on new challenges while developing your technical, commercial, and interpersonal capabilities across a range of projects and technologies.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage assigned tenders from BD/Sales handover through to award or closure.
    • Prepare and deliver high-quality, compliant, and commercially sound tender submissions within required deadlines.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure effective bid development and execution.
    • Support Global Sales & BD Managers and Heads of IPE in client communications and relationship development to maximise current and future opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimise performance and responsiveness during tendering activities.
    • Ensure effective interface communication across all internal stakeholders throughout the tender lifecycle.
    • Identify, assess, and manage commercial and operational risks in line with company procedures.
    • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of global tender procedures and tools.
    • Monitor market developments and provide feedback to the Head of Tender to support strategic positioning.
    • Produce compelling, clear, and customer-focused tender documentation that positions NOV competitively.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Strong technical understanding of process equipment manufacturing.
    • Extensive knowledge of project and tender execution principles (advantageous).
    • Proven ability to interpret complex, specification-driven requirements and convert them into commercially viable proposals.
    • Strong commercial awareness and risk assessment capability.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
    • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple complex tenders simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
    • Analytical mindset with strong technical aptitude.
  • Process-driven approach with the ability to apply tender procedures consistently across varying scopes.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, coordinating internal technical teams and external sub-suppliers under deadline pressure (desirable).
