We are supporting a leading financial services organisation in hiring a Test Automation Engineer to help deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing digital platforms.
Working within a regulated environment, you will take ownership of automation strategy and execution, ensuring systems that support customer identity, authentication, and core digital journeys are rigorously tested and release-ready.
The Role
You will play a key role in advancing automated testing across critical applications, partnering closely with engineering, architecture, product, and risk teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and implementing robust automation strategies aligned to enterprise banking standards
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable API test frameworks
- Validating authentication, authorisation, and session management workflows
- Performing root cause analysis and supporting defect resolution
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Ensuring testing practices align with regulatory and governance requirements
Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on API test automation experience
- Proven expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks
- Experience testing identity and session-based services
- Understanding of secure delivery within regulated financial environments
- Exposure to mobile testing and performance/load testing (highly desirable)
This is a hybrid role based in Manchester or Northampton, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
