We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Assistants with a genuine passion for caring to join our dedicated theatre teams. Opportunities are available across our acute sites at Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital, within Day Surgery, General Theatres and Orthopaedic Theatres.
As a Health Care Assistant in theatres, you will be an integral part of a large multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care for individuals undergoing surgical procedures. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will play a key role in delivering the fundamentals of care and supporting patients to achieve shared goals. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills who are keen to learn, adaptable, and ready to take on new challenges as our services continue to develop.

Qualifications
Essential
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or willingness to work towards them
- Willingness to undertake all mandatory training required for the role
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 in CareCare Certificate (or parts completed), or willingness to work towards it
Experience
Essential
- Ability to demonstrate caring, compassionate behaviours
- Experience of working with people in a caring, support or customer facing role
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or care settingExperience of working in a theatre, ward, outpatient or day surgery environment
