Spire Leicester Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Coordinator to join our Theatre department to be a theatre scheduling coordinator on a part-time working contract. We are looking for someone to support the Hospital Utilisation Manager to increase the utilisation and allocation of theatre sessions and maximise the number of patients seen and treated.

Duties And Responsibilities
- To work alongside the Capacity & Utilisation Manager and ensure that all resources are available to support assigned cases.
- Collaborate with the teams regarding short and longer-term capacity planning whilst ensuring that theatre, endoscopy, and Cath lab capacity is maximised.
- To support the site in the delivery of its AOP, admissions targets and revenue performance as a site.
- To escalate any concerns which may lead to loss of cases and/or revenue.
- To support in the completion and distribution of the theatre off duty.
- Act as Chair in the absence of the Capacity & Utilisation manager and the capacity meetings.
- To be the main point of contact for lists, concerns, and escalations in the absence of the Capacity & Utilisation Manger
- To conduct administrative tasks which are to include (but not limited to) allocation and approval of bookings, data inputting and email communications.
- To provide administration cover as required across the hospital including but not limited to theatre admin.
- Attend regular departmental meetings and keep up to date on all hospital matters relating to patient administration.
- Comply with hospital policies and procedure ensuring that processes are compliant and delivered to the required regulatory and clinical standards required.
- To maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the services provided by the hospital and be able to liaise with consultants, finance, clinical teams, secretaries and hospital teams as required.
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience of working within the healthcare industry or a similar customer orientated organisation.
- Experience of working independently and on own initiative
- Demonstrable ability in problem solving and prioritisation skills.
- Swiftly understand the cause of challenges and be able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve.
- Able to have difficult conversations with senior clinicians and colleagues to improve utilisation.
- Experience of data collation, analysis, and reporting
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility to deliver solutions.
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
- English Language and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent qualification Desirable
- Excellent communication skills, computer literacy, ability to remain calm when dealing with clients.
- Evidence of personal development Training, Skills and Knowledge Essential
- Demonstrable ability to process data effectively and accurately.
- The ability to work in a methodical, systematic way.
