A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant to join our integrated in-patient medical Therapy Team at Fairfield General Hospital.
We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure the provision of timely, safe and compassionate care to our patients.
The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists within the integrated medical therapy team and be able to work well within a team but also independently when required.
The role includes assisting in the assessment of patients, promoting function and assisting with activities of daily living, supervising exercises and mobility practice, and completing administrative duties.
We offer a supportive environment for training and development.
Previous experience of working in an assistant role in either Health or Social Care is desirable.

Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of experience in customer service or health/social care related fields.
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential
- Experience in the care & responsibility of others.
Desirable
- Previous work as a therapy assistant OR Previous experience working in a social care, nursing or customer care setting.
- Previous experience working in the NHS.
Skills & Abilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT skills.
- Excellent time management/organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service.
